What is Spray Tan?

Spray on tan is exactly that: A solution of Dihydroxyacetone (DHA) is sprayed onto your skin by a technician and in 4 - 12 hours your tan naturally develops into a beautiful golden brown, that, for most people, lasts from 7 to 10 days.

It is a great way to have a tan without receiving any of the damaging effects of the sun. That's right, there is no risk of sun damage to your skin.

There are no lines like from a tanning bed and with the Suddenly Tan Turbo Spray system, you will be a beautiful bronze in about 15 minutes from start to finish. The application method insures a smooth and even coverage.

Dihydroxyacetone is the active ingredient in our solution. It reacts with the protein in your skin cells and creates that beautiful color we all desire. We have added Eurithulose to our solution which has eliminated the orange tint that has been associated in the past with DHA. DHA has been approved by the FDA as safe for cosmetic use for over 30 years.

Because the dead cells are always sloughing off, the tan gradually fades, just like a real tan. We recommend once a week treatments to maintain the healthy glow. Repeated treatments also build in color, so the more times you are sprayed the darker you become and the longer it lasts.

The first step to attaining your new tan is to exfoliate with our Suddenly Tan Black Pearl body scrub. This removes excess dead cells so that the solution adheres and penetrates more fully, giving you a longer lasting tan. Don't forget your face, it looks beautiful on faces. Many women find that they don't even need to wear a foundation when they have been sprayed. Your complexion is blended and looks very natural.

Immediately before your spray treatment we recommend using a barrier cream on your finger and toe nails to prevent the solution from staining them.

Using our Suddenly Tan Amplifier will moisturize your skin and extend the life of your tan. It must be applied at least 4 hours prior to or the night before spraying. You should apply the amplifier 4 hours after spraying and any time your skin needs to be moisturized. You must not use another lotion before being sprayed. This will block the effectiveness of the solution. The BIG key to having a longer lasting beautiful tan is keeping your skin as moist as possible.

We recommend waxing legs instead of shaving. This reduces the amount of times that you have to remove hair and will make your tan last longer. However, if you prefer to shave do so at 24 hours before being sprayed to prevent irritation.

A cosmetic color is incorporated into the solution for immediate results and also to aid the technician in ensuring complete coverage. We have found that the best results seem to occur when you have been sprayed one day then a second application in 24 to 48 hours. This gives your tan a great boost.
